This stunning brand new rug was handmade in India by master weavers trained in traditional Persian Nain rug design and technique. It is hand-knotted of silk and fine wool with a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) and superb craftsmanship, which makes for precise, crisp details. The rug has an exquisitely detailed perfectly symmetrical floral and vine medallion pattern of sprays and bouquets, petals, leaves and vines revolving around an elegant central medallion.  The silk accents glisten in the light. The rug is a lush midnight blue and the medallion and surrounding floral designs are hand-knotted in silver, heather gray, sand, taupe, charcoal, cranberry, dusty rose, slate blue, mocha, fern green, olive, steel blue, camel and countless other elegant neutral shades, all punctuated by bright white and all made from only natural dyes. The border is the perfect complement, an ivory frame  that really pops against the blue, with a similar floral and vine pattern in the same accent colors, surrounded by thin rows of sand  with garlands of small flowers on the vine.
