This brand new rug was handmade in India in a Persian rug design known as Nain.   Master weavers trained in traditional Persian rug design and technique hand-knotted this rug with fine silk and wool, a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) and superb craftsmanship, which makes for precise, crisp details. The rug has an exquisitely detailed perfectly symmetrical floral and vine pattern of interconnected sprays, petals, leaves and vines surrounding a striking medallion. The silk accents glisten in the light. The rug is a beautiful shade of silver with a pale blue undertone and the medallion and floral details are hand-knotted in midnight blue, slate blue, taupe, mauve, mocha, ivory, heather gray, charcoal, fern green and countless other elegant neutral shades, all made from only natural dyes.
