It is hand-knotted of silk and fine wool with a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) which makes for precise, crisp details. The rug has an exquisitely detailed perfectly symmetrical floral and vine medallion pattern of sprays and bouquets, petals, leaves and vines revolving around a beautiful central medallion. The silk accents glisten in the light. The rug is crimson red and the medallion and all of the surrounding designs are hand-knotted in silver, powder blue, midnight blue, tawny, mauve. steel blue, olive green, hunter green, mocha, ivory, taupe and countless other elegant neutral shades, all punctuated by bright white and all made from only natural dyes. The border is the perfect complement, a white frame with a similar floral and vine pattern in the same accent colors.
