This brand new Nain design rug was handmade in India by master weavers trained in traditional Persian rug design and technique. It is hand-knotted of silk and fine wool with a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) and superb craftsmanship, which makes for precise, crisp details. The rug has an exquisitely detailed perfectly symmetrical allover floral and vine pattern of sprays and bouquets, petals, leaves and vines.  The silk accents glisten in the light. The rug is an elegant, lush midnight blue and the designs are hand-knotted in powder blue, navy blue, copper, camel, taupe,  ivory, white, cranberry, peach, fern green, mauve and countless other elegant neutral shades, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The border is the perfect complement, an ivory frame with a similar floral and vine pattern in the same colors, surrounded by thin rows of eggshell and silver with tiny garlands of small flowers on the vine.
