This is a handmade fine quality vintage traditional  Persian Kashan design area rug in stunning soft shades on an ivory background.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s in India by master weavers trained in Persian rug design, this rug is heavily distressed. Despite its imperfections, it can withstand high traffic and will continue to last generations.  This rug is a wonderful option to have a large beautiful fine rug at a bargain price.  Made with fine quality wool and excellent craftsmanship, this rug has beautiful floral details.  The traditional floral and vine allover design is intricately woven on a lush ivory background. The elegant flowers and vines are hand-knotted in pastel shades of powder blue, moss and sage green, dusty rose, and taupe, along with richer shades of midnight blue and rust. All of the colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The complementary rust border hosts a larger elegant floral and vine design in the same beautiful colors, framed by thin rows of taupe, powder blue and ivory with small flowers on the vine. The distress includes several areas of low pile, particularly around the fringe and border. The rug is perfectly intact and has no stains or tears.  Size:  9'7"x12'11"
