It was handmade by expert weavers in India based on a classic Persian Heriz geometric medallion design, an antique Persian rug pattern that dates back over a century.  The full pile can withstand high traffic, is soft and cushy underfoot and will last generations.  The prominent central medallion is the geometric floral heart of the rug, bursting from within the coral backdrop that covers the rug's open field.  The central flower is hand-knotted in midnight blue, cornflower blue, grass green, sage green, dusty rose, rose gold, taupe, copper, mint green and other colors, leading to the coral backdrop.  These same colors continue throughout the rug creating delicate and elegant tribal flower, vine and leaf designs that radiate from the medallion in perfect symmetry.  The white corners allow the accent colors to really pop, while lightening and brightening the rug and drawing your eye to the beautiful border.  The midnight blue border has a complementary larger tribal floral and vine garland in all of the rug's colors.
