This vibrant and colorful handmade fine quality vintage Persian Koliai runner has an intricate tribal allover design.  The candy apple red backdrop has a repeating framework of small curls and diamonds in turquoise, lime green, lemonade pink, copper, lavender, plum, periwinkle and countless other brilliant shades, all made from natural dyes.  This rug was made with fine quality wool for a full, soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. The allover design of small colorful tribal motifs continues into the four royal blue triangle corners.  The colors seem to burst from the rug's backdrop, charming vibrant designs like shiny gems.  The ivory border lightens and brightens the runner, hand-knotted with a colorful garland of geometric flowers on the vine, itself framed by thin plum rows with colorful ribbons.  This rug has a few small spot of color running in the ivory border - see last photo for close up.
