This is a stunning vintage handmade traditional Persian Kashan of the finest quality. Hand-knotted by master weavers, the rug is made from high quality wool that comes from the softest parts of the lamb. The full pile is soft and sturdy enough to withstand high traffic and last for generations.  It is handmade with superior craftsmanship and only natural dyes. The traditional floral and medallion design is exquisitely woven in intricate details by hand.  The color palette is a symphony in shades of blue.  The background is light cyan blue and  the delicate floral sprays and bouquets throughout are hand-knotted in midnight blue, powder blue, teal blue, cornflower blue, turquoise, sea green, lavender, heather gray, white, tawny, olive green, marigold and countless others, all made from natural dyes.  The spectacular circular flower medallion is the focal point of the rug, radiating out in all of these colors in perfect symmetry. The design of interconnected flowers on the vine fills the entire rug.  The border is a perfect compliment, a shade darker than the rug's open field with a gorgeous garland of flowers and leaves and elegant flourishes, itself framed by thin rows of ivory and pale sky blue with smaller flowers on the vine.
