This is an absolutely stunning and rare fine quality handmade vintage Persian Heriz runner.  It is the "real deal" that many of today's contemporary geometric rugs try to emulate.  Hand-knotted in the 1990s by expert Persian weavers, this rug is in mint condition.  The fine quality wool is soft and supple, with a sturdy tribal weave that will continue to last generations and can withstand high traffic.  The allover tribal and nomadic design has an abundance of intricate details in rich, vibrant colors, including charming small pinwheel flowers.  Made with only vegetable and other natural dyes, the rug is an explosion of color and pattern.  The deep cherry red backdrop is the perfect background color for the series of medallions that run down the center of the rug in midnight blue, rose pink, royal blue, burgundy, pink lemonade, coral, azure blue, sky blue, sapphire, orange and countless other colors.  Each medallion is defined by a golden yellow outline which really makes them pop. The wonderful decorative tribal motifs that adorn and surround the central geometric medallions are hand-knotted in all of the colors listed above plus additional accents of mauve, lavender, fruit punch, shell pink, white and more. The border is an ornate and beautiful complement to the rug's design, with concentric rows of colorful repeating geometric motifs in all of the runner's rich colors against a midnight blue background with gold frames.  This is a breathtaking piece that is sure to make a statement in any space.  Size: 3'3"x10'7"
