This is a stunning top quality vintage Persian Heriz with geometric details and vibrant, rich colors. This rug was handmade in the 1970's in the classic Heriz design with a prominent central medallion. It is extremely fine quality, with a soft full pile that is made from fine quality wool.  It can withstand high traffic and will continue to last generations.  What brings this rug to life is the incredible array of intricate details and the remarkable vibrant rainbow of colors. Each layer is resplendent with vivid colors that dance in tribal patterns. The medallion at the heart of the rug is a striking azure blue with pale gold, cherry red, white, and lemonade pink accents.  This leads to the next layer of ocean blue, adding teal green and chartreuse to the accent color palette. This is surrounded by a layer of cherry red decorated with an abundance of colorful tribal flower and leaf motifs in all of the rug's rich colors, adding chocolate and sapphire.  The white corners provide a striking contrast for the intricate colorful patterns.  These colors are very hard to find, made from only vegetable and natural dyes. The teal green squares really pop.  The white layer lightens and brightens the rug, leading the eye to the ocean blue border, packed with tribal motifs, flowers and leaves in all of the rug's colors.
