This is a vibrant  vintage handmade Persian Sarough Mahal in a hard to find long and narrow size with the plushest, softest pile imaginable.  The intricate Sarough Mahal floral design swirls and dances across the rug.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s, the rug is in mint condition and has a thick pile that is heavenly underfoot. Made with fine quality wool and only natural dyes, this is a beautiful high quality Persian rug.  The poppy red backdrop hosts an elegant floral and vine pattern and a delicate medallion in sapphire blue, ivory, lemon yellow and Carolina blue with shell pink and lemonade pink accents.  The corners echo the medallion perfectly with bright Carolina blue as the dominant color, drawing your eye to the elegant border. The poppy backdrop is swirling with floral sprays and bouquets in perfect symmetry, hand-knotted in the same happy colors of blues, pinks and yellow.  The border is a rich deep sapphire blue frame that bursts with its own charming garland of flowers on the vine, adding touches of greens and deeper yellows.  Great for high traffic, this rug will last for generations.  Size: 6'11"x11'7"
