This brand new fine quality rug was handmade in India. It has a full pile that is great for high traffic and will last generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.   The design is based on tribal Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here, a series of three medallions run down the center of the rug, hand-knotted in steel blue, pale sky blue, hunter green, robin's egg blue, gold  and white. The geometric accents include footed medallions, flowers, hearts and snowflake-like motifs. All colors are made from only natural dyes.  The backdrop is a luscious red wine with small playful tribal motifs and decorative accents in the open field that echo the medallions in style and colors. The border is a white frame with a geometric flower repeat in all of the rug's colors, framed by sky blue rows of repeating small motifs.  The binding is an additional decorative element of the rug, with blue knotted rectangles against the red wine edge of the border.  This sturdy rug has a home-made style and feel.
