This is a stunning handmade brand new Persian Sarough with a highly intricate tribal and floral design based on antique Sarough patterns.  The exquisite colors are made with only natural dyes and the high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) creates precise geometric floral detailing that is truly a sight to behold!  The medallion is the floral heart of the rug, where many of the rug's colors are introduced.   The star-shaped bloom is sapphire, sky blue, ballet slipper pink, lemonade pink, rose, teal, crimson, taupe and countless other colors.  Small flowers, paisleys (known as botehs, the ancient tribal precursor to paisley), leaves and vines dance throughout the regal royal blue backdrop.  The rug's next layer of detail are the four large boteh/paisley motifsi along with the two cypress trees.  All od these are abundantly adorned with artistic details in all of the rug's extraordinary colors.  Note the paisley or boteh motifs that continue in the border, a rich crimson frame with its own garland of paisleys and flowers.  The rug is made from fine quality wool, creating a notably soft pile that feels luxurious underfoot, can withstand high traffic and will continue to last for generations.  Size: 7'8"x9'7"
