It has a vibrant, happy color palette made from only natural dyes and a very thick, full, soft pile that is cushy underfoot, great for high traffic and will last generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.  The allover geometric design is based on tribal Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here, stepped repeating diamonds run down the center of the rug in rows, alternating with rows of smaller classic white diamonds. Each diamond has a delicate star-like flower in its center, and the larger medallions are hand-knotted in a unique range of beautiful alternating colors.  Mauve, lime green, camel, golden yellow, bright azure blue are the primary colors, creating accents within the diamonds and surrounding them.  The backdrop is a rich cherry red that shows off the rug's patterns and colors beautifully.  The border is a notably unique and decorative element of the rug, a white frame that lightens and brightens the rug with a repeating geometric motif in alternating colors.  This in turn is surrounded by thin rows of golden yellow, blue and mauve geometric repeats.
