This brand new rug in a Persian Nain design was handmade in India by master weavers trained in traditional Persian rug design and technique. It is hand-knotted of silk and fine wool with a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) and superb craftsmanship, which makes for precise, crisp details. The rug has an exquisitely detailed perfectly symmetrical floral and vine pattern of sprays and bouquets, petals, leaves and vines that revolve around a stunning central medallion. The silk accents glisten in the light. The rug is an elegant shade of silvder gray with the slightest hint of blue undertone.  The medallion and floral accents throughout are hand-knotted in taupe, midnight blue, tawny, steel blue, mocha, ivory, white, heather gray, plum, mauve and countless other elegant neutral shades, all made from only natural dyes.  The corners echo the medallion perfectly and they draw you toward the border, a perfect compliment to the rug's design.  The ivory border has a garland of flowers on the vine in all of the rug's colors.  This rug has a sturdy, soft and full pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.
