This handmade Afghan Kargahi runner is brand new and fine quality.  Hand-knotted by Uzbek & Turkmen weavers whose traditions date back to the old Ottoman Empire, the Kargahi design brings a vintage feel to a new rug. This runner embodies elegant simplicity in a perfectly symmetrical geometric design with flower details. The series of central flower medallions and repeating motifs alternate colors from a pale golden yellow to a deep navy blue with olive, camel and hunter green accents throughout.  The open field is pumpkin, a warm understated shade of orange that harmonizes beautifully with the gold, blue and green. The pale golden yellow border has a complementary garlsnd of flowers on the vine in all of the rug's colors. Tribal accessibility combined with a somewhat formal pattern is the perfect combination to accomodate any space and style.  Colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.
