This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.   The geometric design is based on tribal Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here a series of six medallions run down the rug's center, hand-knotted in golden yellow, silver, ocean blue, Carolina blue and white.   The backdrop is hand-knotted in a deep pomegranate red with small playful tribal star and diamond motifs dotting the open field in the same style and colors as the medallions. The border is a wonderful ivory frame that further lightens and brightens the rug. The border's repeating geometric designs complement the rug perfectly, and the ivory backdrop is framed by thin cornflower blue rows.
