This is a beautiful brand new fine quality rug handmade in India. It has a very thick, full, soft pile that is cushy underfoot, great for high traffic and will last generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.   The geometric design is based on tribal Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here a series of seven small snowflake-like medallions run down the center of the rug, hand-knotted in white, mustard yellow, seafoam green, denim blue and bright indigo blue.  The backdrop is hand-knotted in pomegranate red with small playful tribal flower, star and diamond motifs dotting the open field in the same style and colors as the medallions. The framework that leads to the border is the most intriguing and unique part of the rug, a wonderful contemporary bright indigo blue that resembles fingers bleeding into the red. From afar, the overall shape resembles a tree or a plant. The final border is an ivory garland of repeating flowers in all of the rug's colors, surrounded by denim blue rows with their own repeating flower and leaf motifs.
