It is hand-knotted of silk and fine wool with a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) and superb craftsmanship, which makes for precise, crisp details. The rug has an exquisitely detailed perfectly symmetrical allover floral and vine pattern of sprays and bouquets, petals, leaves and vines. The silk accents glisten in the light. The rug is white and the designs are hand-knotted in powder blue, ocean blue, taupe, mocha, ivory, steel blue, heather gray, charcoal, olive green, plum, hunter green, mauve and countless other elegant neutral shades, all made from only natural dyes. The border is a complementary frame of steel blue with a garland of flowers on the vine in the rug's beautiful colors.
