This handmade colorful vintage Perisn Bidjar is a true gem in mint condition. The rug is extremely fine quality, made not only with double knots for a thick, dense and sturdy weave, but also with a very high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) for incredibly precise details.  It was also made with fine quality wool, natural dyes and exquisite craftsmanship.  This design has the most exquisite intricate details in a glorious array of rainbow colors, with concentric layers leading to a central medallion. It is a classic traditional oriental rug design. Violet blue is the backdrop of the very center of the rug's medallion.  Layers of ivory and crimson create the next layers of background for the prominent central design, with royal blue and ivory as the backdrop for the corners before the multi-layered border. Each of these are richly colored canvases for tiny repeating floral and other delicate motifs in more colors than we could possibly name: rose pink, turquoise, sky blue, sapphire, lavender, ballet slipper pink, mint green, grass green, pink lemonade, teal, white, lemon yellow, lime green lime green and countless others.  The border is the palest shade of yellow with a repeating garland of colorful flowers, edged with thin rows of cornflower blue with their own tiny flower repeats befpre the final edge of crimson and royal blue with small colorful flowers, bringing the rug together perfectly with the same intricate colorful designs.  This rug becomes even more stunning as you get closer, and the photos don't do it justice.  Size: 5'x6'10"
