This vintage fine quality handmade Afghan Baluch accent rug has spectacular colors and striking tribal designs. It is in mint condition, made by hand with fine quality wool and fine craftsmanship.  This rug has a sturdy and soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The tribal and geometric allover design has repeating small geometric motifs resembling flowers, plants and paisleys, known as botehs (ancient tribal precursor to paisley).  These motifs are hand-knotted in striking and vivid primary colors that really pop.  The bright red backdrop creates a cheerful setting for the amazing designs and colors - bright cornflower blue, grass green, golden yellow, purple and copper, with navy blue edging throughout.  All colors are made from only natural dyes. The border is a wonderful complement to the rug, a floating frame of navy blue with a garland of charming small flowers on the vine in many of the rug's vibrant colors.
