This is a brand new fine quality kilim accent rug handmade in Pakistan in rich, saturated colors made from only natural dyes. The tribal, geometric diamond medallion design is a hallmark of kilim rugs.  This rug has a cheerful, modern appeal with its bright colors and the diamonds are reminiscent of colorful footballs with their thick white stripes! The central backdrop for the rug's unique design is a beautiful grass green, furthering the football metaphor. Rich cherry red and royal blue alternating diamond form the central rows of the rug's design, with orange and yellow stepped diamond accents alongside them in the green backdrop. This is surrounded by a frame of purple, turquoise, denim blue, grass green, and cherry red geometric motifs resembling bowties resting on a silver backdrop. The final silver frame is a series of diamonds in all of the rug's rich colors. Subtle variations in the natural dyes create a softly striated texture that adds to the one of a kind handmade nature of the rug.  Flat weave and thin pile, the hallmark of kilim rugs, the rug is practically reversible.
