This brand new handmade Oushak rug was hand-knotted in India by expert weavers. The rug has a full soft pile that is great for high traffic areas and will last for generations.  The allover modern, geometric flower design is a hallmark of contemporary Oushak rugs, derived from antique Turkish Oushak designs that date back to the Ottoman Empire.  The background of this rug is birch white with slight variations in tone of bone and ivory.  It is the perfect canvas for the beautiful details and intricate geometric flower, vine and leaf motifs hand-knotted in happy shades of turquoise, sky blue, cerulean blue, sea green, mint green, lime green, ballet slipper pink, pale peach, and pale mocha, all colors made from vegetable and other natural dyes. The pale turquoise blue border is a gorgeous complement with its garland of geometric flowers on the vine in all of the rug's colors, framed by thin lime green stripes with small green flowers.
