This fine quality brand new handmade accent rug has spectacular tribal details and colors. It was hand-knotted by expert weavers in India based on a classic antique Perisan Heriz medallion design that dates back over a century.  The full pile can withstand high traffic, is soft and cushy underfoot and will last generations.  The prominent central medallion is the geometric floral heart of the rug, bursting from within the brick red open field.  The central flower is hand-knotted in brick red, bright sky blue, silver blue, raspberry sherbert, pale mint green, pale yellow, white, midnight blue, taupe, hunter green and countless other colors, all made from natural dyes.  These are the colors that continue throughout the rug, adding delicate tribal flower, vine and leaf designs that radiate from the medallion in perfect symmetry.  The midnight blue border is the perfect compliment to the rug with a garland of lotus flowers on the vine hand-knotted in all of the rug's colors. This is in turn edged by thin pale silver rows with tiny flowers in a garland before the last red edge.  This rug is a little gem!   Size: 4'x6'
