This is a stunning an antique Persian Heriz in excellent condition.  Known as a Serapi because of its age and  provenance, this rug is a highly sought-after and valuable piece. The geometric details are hand-knotted in vibrant, rich colors made from only vegetable dyes. This rug was handmade in the 1920's in a classic geometric design with a prominent central medallion that is a hallmark of Heriz rugs.  The rug is over 100 years old and has a sturdy pile that will continue to last for generations and can withstand high traffic.  What brings this rug to life is the incredible array of intricate details and the remarkable vibrant colors that have the unique patina that only comes from vegetable dyed antiques.
