This unique handmade Turkish rug is over-dyed in natural red dyes, a process which creates vivid and variegated colors. It is also purposefully distressed and sheered through the overdying process, giving it an antique look and the patina that comes only from natural dyes and handmade rugs.  The shades of red range from a bright strawberry to a moodier cherry, as the colors seem to change with the light and the height of the pile.  The geometric original rug design is very faint and faded, but still slightly visible for a vintage look and feel.  This is a new rug that has been purposefully washed to look like an antique, which creates a very low pile.  Handmade from quality wool, it has dense and sturdy weave that can withstand high traffic and will still last generations.  Size: 5'x9'11" -
