This brand new fine quality Oushak runner was handmade in India. It has a full soft pile that is great for high traffic and will last for generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and quality wool.  The allover geometric design is a hallmark of contemporary Oushak rugs, derived from antique Turkish Oushak designs that date back to the Ottoman Empire.  The design is a series of circular medallions that run down the center of the rug, resembling flowers with leaves and vines. The backdrop is a soft shade of dusty rose and the accents are hand-knotted in midnight blue, taupe, heather gray, burgundy and ivory.  All colors are made from only natural dyes.  The medallions are surrounded by intricate complementary small geometric motifs such as stars, flowers, vines, and leaves in all of the rug's colors.
