This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.   The geometric design is based on tribal Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here a series of five snowflake-like medallions run down the center of the rug, hand-knotted in lemon yellow, bone and bright Tiffany blue blue with accents in ivory and mocha.  The backdrop is hand-knotted in crimson red with small playful tribal star and diamond motifs dotting the open field in the same style and colors as the medallions. The border is a wonderful ivory frame that further lightens and brightens the rug. The border's repeating larger geometric designs complement the rug perfectly, and the ivory backdrop is framed by thin Tiffany blue of small tribal flowers on the vine.
