This dramatic handmade Chinese brand new oriental rug is extremely fine quality, made with a very high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) for incredibly precise details.  It was made with fine quality silk accents on a fine wool base, natural dyes and exquisite craftsmanship.  This design is based on the Persian Tabriz, and has the Tabriz's hallmark of exquisite intricate details in a glorious array of colors, with concentric layers leading to a central medallion. It is a classic traditional oriental rug design. The ivory backdrop of the central medallion is echoed in the rug's corners, lightening and brightening the rug.   A layer of raspberry encircles the ivory center before the midnight blue backdrop that creates the prominent central design and border. These are richly colored canvases for tiny repeating floral and other delicate motifs in a fantastic array of colors: lilac, magenta, indigo blue, mint green, teal, dusty rose, peach, lavender, purple, pale pink, tangerine, olive, hunter green, sapphire and countless others.  The border is extraordinary, a midnight blue frame with a floral garland of purple and blue and all the colors of the rug, with thin rows of teal and olive on either side, full of small flowers and other repeating delicate motifs.  This rug becomes even more stunning as you get closer, and the colors and the quality make this a real knockout.  Size: 8'x10'1"
