This vintage handmade Chinese rug is a very fine quality rug with a unique design that is based on antique Persian Sarough patterns that date back centuries.   Made by hand with high quality wool and fine craftsmanship, this rug has stunning floral details in concentric layers of blues, pinks and corals. A delicate central medallion in gray, peach, ivory and plum  leads to a circle of tiny flowers i nwhite nd pale shell pink on a coral backdrop, in turn surrounded by a ring of flowers in silver, pale peach and mint green.  The next layer of the medallion is midnight blue, which beautifully showcases an abundant floral pattern that bursts from the rug in soft shades of coral, pink, ivory, teal, mint, sapphire, ocean blue, sage, rose and countless other understated and elegant shades. The sprays and bouquets fill the midnight blue backdrop, leading to a thin lavender row of diamonds that brings you to the coral necklace of complementary smaller flowers in the same color palette.  The final layer is a gray border, framed by thin rows of white and coral, all adorned with small delicate flowers on the vine.  You can get lost in the details.  All colors are made with only vegetable and other natural dyes.  This rug has a traditional oriental rug pattern that is a timeless classic.
