This is a very fine quality and elegant vintage 16' runner handmade in China by master weavers. Its floral design is based on antique Persian rug patterns from the city of Qum, and it was hand-knotted with colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Handmade in the 1980s, this runner is made with fine quality wool and a full, dense, soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. It is perfect for a long hallway, a dramatic entrance, or even a stair runner. The pattern revolves around a series of central floral medallions, surrounded by intricate floral sprays & bouquets that fill the ivory backdrop. The medallions are deep burnt orange flowers with fern green and midnight blue petals, accented with ivory, camel, sky blue, mauve and burgundy. These colors continue throughout the ivory open field, filling the space between medallions with stunning floral details in these colors and sapphire blue, dusty rose, lemonade pink and countless other colors. The border is the same deep burnt orange as the medallions, filled with its own complementary floral and vine pattern in the same beautiful colors and ending with a solid burnt orange frame.
