This is a handmade vintage Chinese floral runner, hand-knotted with elegant details in colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Handmade in the 1980s, this runner is made with fine quality wool.  It has a thick and sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. The runner's intricate details revolve around a delicate series of central floral bouquets and medallions, all of which are framed by a burgundy ribbon of repeating small flowers on the vine.  The dramatic black backdrop is a perfect setting for the elegant, crisp floral sprays and details hand-knotted in a beautiful array of elegant colors - dusty rose, shell pink, lavender, mint green, sage green, coral, burgundy, silver, charcoal, royal blue, hunter green and countless other colors.  The minor distress are the rug's edges, which have a simple ending without  a fringe, and the areas where small white dots from the runner's cotton base are exposed (see last 2 photos).  These details are not noticeable unless you are looking closely, and make this runner a great bargain.
