Stunning handmade antique Caucasian Shirvan runner. Hand-knotted in the 1960s, this rug is lightly distressed on one end (see photos) and in otherwise mint condition. Allover tribal and nomadic design with abundant intricate details in bright colors. Made with only vegetable and other natural dyes, the rug is predominantly a beautiful rich shade of deep coral and royal blue. The floral and tribal details are woven in goldenrod, turquoise, powder blue, teal, hunter green, peach, orange and countless other colors that only come from vegetable and other natural dyes. The charming border has ribbons of tiny repetitive geometric motifs in the same colors - small waves and flowers in endless patterns that will keep you enthralled for hours. This rug has an even, low pile and its distressed and muted condition on one end makes it even more beautiful and authentic. No holes or tears or patches - the rug is otherwise in beautiful condition and can withstand high traffic. It will continue to last for generations. Size: 5' x10'11"
