This vibrant Royal Baluch rug was hand-knotted in Northwest Afghanistan by Baluchi weavers. It is known as a Royal Baluch because it was designed as a prayer rug with its mosque-like image. The tribal and geometric pattern is a hallmark of Afghan rugs from this region. The midnight blue and cherry red tower is bordered by 7 layers of adornment in intricate detail. From green, orange & brown arrows to orange & brown triangles to white diamonds with colorful accents, each border is another layer to explore. This stunning piece can be used as a prayer rug or a tapestry or as a beautiful accent rug for your entryway, hallway, bedside, office, etc. All of the colors are made with only natural and vegetable dyes. This rug is made of 100% camel hair, which gives it a full pile that can withstand high traffic areas.
