This is a beautiful and fine quality vintage handmade Afghan Kazakh accent rug with areas of distress and imperfections that add to its vintage charm and one of a kind handmade nature.  Hand-knotted in the villages of Northwest Afghanistan, rugs such as these have been made by tribal weavers for generations.  The bold triple medallion geometric design is hand-knotted with crisp details and intricate tribal accents on a red backdrop. Copper, emerald green, indigo blue, plum, black and white bring the patterns to life with detailed motifs and a decorative border made of geometric repeating designs in blue, white and plum.  Made by hand with natural wool and only natural dyes, this rug can withstand high traffic and will last lifetimes.
