This is a Baluch rug that was hand-knotted in Northwestern Afghanistan by Baluchi weavers. Its tribal and geometric design is a hallmark of Afghan rugs from this region. The beige background hosts multiple small buildings, meant to be mosques, but reminsicent of castles or even stained glass window design in pomegranate red and indigo with black accents. This charming and vibrant rug as a beautiful border and can be used for entryways, hallways, bedsides, offices, or even a prayer rug. All of the colors are made with only natural and vegetable dyes.
